Brief

A museum for the tools and objects of Swiss craft, from timber joinery to watchmaking, on a tight site in the old town.

Section

The galleries lift off the ground and fold down at one corner to form the entrance. Round oculi bring daylight into the inner courtyard and onto the workbenches of the demonstration hall.

Material

Sandblasted concrete with a local limestone aggregate, oak floors and brass fittings made by craftspeople represented in the collection.
